JE Pistons 4.6 3V MODULAR 9.5:1 Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons has been a leader in forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and they apply that experience to their wide range of forged pistons for domestic engines. This set is specifically for the 4.6 3V modular engine, offering a 9.5:1 compression ratio. These pistons are engineered, forged, and machined 100% in the USA, using 2618 aluminum which provides the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance applications.

This set features JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, improving ring flutter reduction and enhancing ring seal for consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also contributing to reduced operating noise.

This set includes 8 pistons, each with a 3.572-inch bore, a 1.220-inch compression distance, and an 0.866-inch pin. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
