JE Pistons 4.6 4V MOD STRKR 8.5:1 Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically the 4.6 4V MOD STRKR line, designed for an 8.5:1 compression ratio. These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications where durability is critical. They feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and reduce ring flutter for more consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, is used to reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to lower operating noise.

Each piston is designed specifically for the engine and its intended use, aiming for optimized performance and durability. All components in this set are forged and machined 100% in the USA, reflecting JE Pistons' extensive experience in creating high-performance forged racing pistons. The bore size for this set is 3.701 inches, with a compression distance (CD) of 1.200 inches and a wrist pin diameter of 0.866 inches.
