JE Pistons 4.6 4V MODULAR 8.5:1 Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons is known for its forged racing pistons, bringing over 75 years of experience to domestic engine builds. This set of eight pistons is specifically made for the 4.6 4V Modular engine, featuring an 8.5:1 compression ratio. They are engineered, forged, and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum for the high tensile strength needed in performance applications.

These pistons incorporate JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise.
