They're forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for engines pushed to their limits.

JE Pistons has been a leader in forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and this set reflects that experience. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and more consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to a quieter operation and longer component life.
