If you're building a high-performance Small Block Chevy (SBC) engine, JE Pistons offers a well-built set of flat-top pistons designed for demanding applications. These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines that push the limits. The flat-top design is a common choice for many performance builds, offering a good balance of compression and piston-to-valve clearance.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their forged piston designs, and these are no exception. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also contributes to saving weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.125-inch bore, a 1.062-inch compression distance, and a 0.927-inch wrist pin.
