This set of eight pistons is built for the 400 SBC engine, featuring a .305 dome to help achieve your desired compression ratio. They are forged and machined 100% in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for high-demand performance applications where durability and power are paramount.

These pistons incorporate JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This design minimizes friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, helping to prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life. Each piston is designed specifically for the 400 SBC engine and its intended use, ensuring optimized performance and durability.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.130-inch bore, a 1.062-inch compression distance, and a 0.927-inch pin diameter.
