JE Pistons 400 SBC .305 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for high-demand performance applications. This set is specifically designed for the 400 SBC engine, featuring a .305 dome and a 4.125-inch bore. JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to the table, engineering and machining these pistons entirely in the USA to deliver a combination of durability and performance that's proven on the track.

The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design is a key feature, minimizing friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, which reduces ring flutter and improves ring seal for more consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.125-inch bore, a 1.100-inch compression distance, and a 0.927-inch pin. The dome volume is 10.8 cc, and they are designed as a flat-top piston. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
