JE Pistons 400 SBC .305 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

Forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for high-demand performance applications like your 400 SBC. The 2618 alloy provides the high tensile strength needed when you're pushing your engine hard, whether on the track or the street. JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to the table, engineering and machining these pistons entirely in the USA to offer a combination of durability and performance proven in racing environments.

This set features a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width, and it also saves weight thanks to a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

This kit is designed specifically for the 400 SBC engine, with a 4.145-inch bore and a .305-inch dome volume, resulting in a 10.8 cc dome.
