JE Pistons 400 SBC .305 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for serious performance in your 400 SBC engine. This set includes eight pistons, each featuring a .305 dome and designed for a 4.155-inch bore. The 2618 aluminum alloy provides the high tensile strength necessary to withstand the demands of high-performance applications, whether you're building for the drag strip or a dedicated race car.

JE Pistons incorporates their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life.

Every component is engineered, forged, and machined 100% in the USA, ensuring a high level of quality control and supporting domestic manufacturing. These pistons are specifically designed for the 400 SBC engine and its intended use, aiming for an optimized balance of performance and durability.
