Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for high-tensile strength, making them a solid choice for performance-oriented 400 SBC engine builds. JE Pistons has been making forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and these are engineered and machined 100% in the USA for specific engine and racing applications. This set includes eight pistons, each designed to offer an optimal combination of durability and performance for demanding use.

The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design is a notable feature that helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width. This design also saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can improve ring seal and reduce ring flutter for more consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, can further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

This set is designed for a 4.135-inch bore with a 1.062-inch compression distance and uses a 0.927-inch wrist pin. It's important to note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
