If you're building a high-performance 400 small-block Chevy engine, JE Pistons offers a well-built set of forged pistons designed to handle serious power. This set includes eight pistons, each featuring a dome design with a -12cc volume, intended for specific compression ratios in your build. They are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making these pistons suitable for demanding racing applications.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their forged piston designs. These pistons incorporate their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring flutter and seal for consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
