If you're building a high-performance 400 small block Chevy, JE Pistons offers a well-built set of forged pistons designed to handle serious power. This set is specifically for engines with a 4.135-inch bore and features a dome piston design with a -12cc volume, intended to work with specific cylinder head combinations to achieve a desired compression ratio.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to these forged pistons, which are made entirely in the USA from 2618 aluminum. This material choice provides the high tensile strength needed for demanding racing applications, whether you're on the dirt track or the drag strip. They incorporate JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which reduces skirt width to minimize friction and power loss while also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and consistency, and a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear while quieting operation.
