JE Pistons 400 SBC DOME 18DEG Set of 8 Pistons

Forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built to handle the demands of a high-performance 400 SBC engine. The 2618 alloy offers high tensile strength, making it a solid choice for engines that see a lot of stress. This set includes eight pistons, each with a dome designed to work with an 18-degree cylinder head configuration, and features a 4.155-inch bore size.

JE Pistons incorporates a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width, and further saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that can reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down operating noise.
