JE Pistons has been making forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and these are forged and machined right here in the USA from 2618 aluminum. This material choice gives them the high tensile strength needed to handle the intense pressures and heat found in performance engines. They feature JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and keeping power consistent. Some applications also include a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear on the cylinder walls, which can also help quiet down the engine's operation.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a dome design and intended for an 18-degree cylinder head setup. They are designed for a 4.125-inch bore with a 1.100-inch compression distance and utilize a 0.927-inch wrist pin. It's important to note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
