JE Pistons 400 SBC DOME 18DEG Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for a 400 SBC engine with an 18-degree cylinder head configuration. You get the pistons themselves, ready to be installed in your build. These aren't just any pistons; they're forged from 2618 aluminum right here in the USA, a material known for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications where durability is key.

JE Pistons has been in the game for over 75 years, and they've put that experience into these components. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width. This design also contributes to saving weight, especially when paired with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons might also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving the seal for consistent power. Some applications also come with a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also help quiet down the engine's operation.

These pistons are made with a dome shape and are designed for a 4.125-inch bore with a 1.125-inch compression distance. The dome volume is 2.50 cc, and they use a 0.927-inch pin. It's important to note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
