Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for serious performance in your 400 SBC engine. The 2618 alloy offers the high tensile strength needed for demanding applications, ensuring these pistons can handle the stress of high-RPM operation and significant cylinder pressures. This set includes eight pistons, each featuring a dome design suitable for 18-degree cylinder heads, with a 4.130-inch bore size.

JE Pistons incorporates several design features to maximize durability and performance. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, while also saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, an accumulator groove can be included to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

Every aspect of these pistons, from the initial forging to the final machining, is done 100% in the USA.
