JE Pistons 400 SBC DOME 18DEG Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for a 400 SBC engine with an 18-degree cylinder head configuration. You'll receive the pistons themselves, ready to be installed in your build. These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the demands of high-performance engines. They are designed with a dome shape and a 4.125-inch bore, featuring a 1.250-inch compression distance and a 0.927-inch wrist pin diameter.

The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design is incorporated to minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also helps save weight. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for your application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
