JE Pistons 400 SBC DOME Set of 8 Pistons

Forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built to handle the demands of a high-performance 400 SBC engine. This set includes eight pistons, each featuring a dome design and a 4.125-inch bore, ready to be the foundation for serious power. The 2618 aluminum alloy provides the high tensile strength necessary for engines pushed to their limits, whether on the drag strip or a dirt track.

JE Pistons incorporates their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width. This design also contributes to weight savings, especially when paired with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Additionally, a skirt coating can further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer component life.
