These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the strong tensile strength needed for high-demand applications. This set features JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This means they've worked to minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also helps save weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove. This groove helps manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving the seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also get a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down the engine's operation.

This kit includes eight pistons, each with a dome top, designed for a 4.130-inch bore. The wrist pin diameter is 0.927 inches, and the compression distance is 1.100 inches.
