These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed when you're pushing an engine hard. They feature JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight too. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove to help control combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal for more consistent power.
