Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for high-demand performance applications. This set includes eight pistons specifically designed for the 427 BBF engine, featuring an inverted dome design and a 4.250-inch bore. The 2618 aluminum alloy provides the high tensile strength necessary to withstand the rigors of performance engines, ensuring durability when you need it most.

JE Pistons applies over 75 years of experience to their forged piston designs, and this set is no exception. They incorporate a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and reduce ring flutter for more consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer component life.
