JE Pistons 427 BBF INV DOME Set of 8 Pistons

This set of eight pistons is specifically made for 427 Big Block Ford (BBF) engines and features an inverted dome design. They are forged and machined 100% in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for high-demand performance applications.

These pistons incorporate JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for your application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

This piston set is designed specifically for the 427 BBF engine and its intended use, aiming for an optimal balance of performance and durability. The bore size is 4.280 inches, with a compression distance of 1.325 inches and a 0.990-inch pin diameter. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
