Forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for serious performance applications. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. This design is crucial for high-demand engines where every bit of efficiency matters.

Each piston is designed specifically for the 5.4 2V Modular engine to give you the best combination of durability and performance. The 11:1 compression ratio is achieved with an inverted dome/dish design, measuring -20.8 cc, and they have a bore of 3.701 inches. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also cutting down on operating noise.
