JE Pistons 5.4 2V MODULAR 8.5:1 Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for the 5.4L 2-valve Modular engine with an 8.5:1 compression ratio. These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines built for demanding performance applications. They feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and reduce weight by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and more consistent power. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for your application, can further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also contributing to quieter operation.
