JE Pistons 5.4 3V MODULAR 8.5:1 Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons has been a leader in forged racing pistons for over 75 years, building a reputation for durable and high-performance engine components. This set of eight pistons is specifically made for the 5.4 3V modular engine, featuring an 8.5:1 compression ratio. This ratio is well-suited for builds that demand significant performance and durability, offering a good balance for forced induction or high-compression naturally aspirated setups.

These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the stresses of high-performance engines. JE Pistons incorporates a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, and it also saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and lead to more consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that works to reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine operation.

This set includes pistons with a 3.562-inch bore, a 1.320-inch compression distance, and a 0.866-inch wrist pin diameter.
