JE Pistons 5.4 3V MODULAR 9.5:1 Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons has been a leader in forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and they've applied that experience to their extensive line of forged pistons for American engines. This set of eight pistons is built for the 5.4L 3-valve Modular engine, offering a 9.5:1 compression ratio. Each piston is forged and machined entirely in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for high-performance applications where durability is key.

These pistons feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This unique forging minimizes friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also helps save weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise. This set includes pistons with a 3.562-inch bore and a -20.1cc dish volume, designed for an 8-cylinder engine.
