JE Pistons 5.4 4V MODULAR 11:1 Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for 5.4 4V Modular engines with an 11:1 compression ratio. These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines built for demanding performance applications. They feature a 3.701-inch bore and come with a 0.866-inch wrist pin. The set includes an inverted dome/dish design with a volume of -10.2 cc, contributing to the 11:1 compression ratio.

JE Pistons incorporates several design elements to enhance performance and durability. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, is used to further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also contributing to quieter operation.
