These pistons feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, leading to less ring flutter and improved ring seal for consistent power delivery.
