Forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built to handle the high tensile strength demands of performance applications. This set is specifically designed for BBC (Big Block Chevrolet) engines, featuring an open chamber dome design. The 4.625 inch bore size and 1.120 inch compression distance are key dimensions for achieving optimal compression ratios in your build.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their forged piston designs, and this set is no exception. They utilize a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and consistent power, and a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear while also quieting operation.
