Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for serious performance applications where high tensile strength is critical. This set of eight pistons is designed for an 8-cylinder engine, featuring an open chamber dome that's optimized for specific engine and use applications. The 4.600-inch bore size and 1.060-inch compression distance are key dimensions for achieving precise engine builds.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their forged piston designs, and these are no exception. They incorporate a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to manage combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
