These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its high tensile strength, making it well-suited for demanding performance applications where durability and reliability are critical. Each piston is engineered and machined in the USA, reflecting JE Pistons' extensive experience in racing and performance engine components.

JE Pistons incorporates several design features to optimize performance and longevity. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, and further saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, is used to reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer engine life.
