JE Pistons 502BBC OPEN CHAM DOM Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons is known for making well-built forged racing pistons, drawing on over 75 years of experience. They've applied that knowledge to this set of 8 pistons, designed for high-demand performance applications. These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the strong tensile strength needed for serious engine builds.

This set features a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that can reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down operating noise.

Each piston is specifically designed for its intended engine and use, aiming for an optimized balance of performance and durability. This set is for an 8-cylinder engine with a 4.625-inch bore and includes pistons with a dome volume of 28.9 cc.
