This JE Pistons kit includes six forged pistons, high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings, all manufactured in the USA. These pistons are specifically designed for the 6G72 engine found in 1991-1998 Mitsubishi 3000 GT models, featuring a 91.1mm bore and a -15.5 dish to optimize performance and durability for high-demand applications.

Crafted from 2618 aluminum, these pistons offer the high tensile strength necessary for demanding engine builds. JE Pistons incorporates their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which reduces skirt width to minimize friction and power loss, while also saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing flutter. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
