These JE Pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for the demands of racing and serious performance builds. This set features a 87.5mm bore size and a 11.9cc dome volume, designed to achieve a 12.50:1 compression ratio when installed in the specified K-series engines. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design helps reduce friction and weight by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to improve ring seal and reduce flutter, and a skirt coating to further reduce friction, wear, and noise.
