These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance uses. JE Pistons uses a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. Some applications may include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and lead to consistent power. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for your application, can further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also lowering operating noise.

This kit includes everything you need to get your engine rebuilt with these high-performance pistons: six pistons, high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings. They are designed specifically for the 2.7L S4 engine, with a 3.209-inch bore and an inverted dome/dish design for a 9.00:1 compression ratio.
