JE Pistons Audi TT RS 2.5 TFSI 5-Cyl Ultra Series 82.5mm Bore Piston Kit (Set of 5)

This kit includes five JE Pistons Ultra Series pistons, designed specifically for the Audi TT RS 2.5 TFSI 5-cylinder engine. These aren't your average pistons; they're built to handle the extreme cylinder pressures that come with serious performance upgrades, especially those involving turbochargers or superchargers. The pistons feature an 82.5mm bore and are made from 2618 aluminum, a strong material commonly used in high-performance applications. They also come with Trend Performance high-strength wrist pins, which are crucial for the demands of power-adder builds.

What sets these Ultra Series pistons apart is JE's proprietary Aligned Grain Flow forging technology. This in-house process maximizes the material's tensile strength, making them incredibly robust for high-performance engine environments. You'll also find a thermal barrier crown coating, which helps reflect heat back into the combustion chamber, reducing piston crown temperatures and improving exhaust gas scavenging. To further reduce friction and wear on both the piston skirts and cylinder walls, a skirt coating is applied, which also helps quiet down operation, particularly during cold starts. Lateral gas ports are included to help maintain a solid ring seal, even at high RPMs and under high boost conditions.
