They're forged and machined entirely in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines pushed to their limits.

JE Pistons has been in the game for over 75 years, and they've put that experience into these pistons. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and save weight by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and more reliable power. Some applications also include a skirt coating that further cuts down on friction and wear, while also quieting things down a bit.

These pistons are designed specifically for the Big Block Chevrolet engine and the demands of performance use, aiming for an optimal balance of durability and output. They are a flat-top design with a 4.600-inch bore, a 1.140-inch compression distance, and a 0.990-inch wrist pin.
