JE Pistons BBC 12/14DEG Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for Big Block Chevrolet engines. You get eight flat-top pistons, each with a 4.610-inch bore, a 1.140-inch compression distance, and a 0.990-inch wrist pin. These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications where durability is critical.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to these forged pistons, and they are manufactured 100% in the USA. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, contributing to weight savings. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also lead to quieter operation.
