This single piston is designed for Big Block Chevrolet engines with a 4.500 inch bore and is +.034 inch oversize. It's built from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for engines under high performance demands.

This piston is forged and machined 100% in the USA, specifically for its intended engine and application to offer a good balance of durability and performance. It features a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight. Depending on the specific application, it may also include a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear on the cylinder walls, while also cutting down on operating noise. An accumulator groove, also application-dependent, can help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power delivery.
