JE Pistons BBC .415 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

This kit includes a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for BBC (Big Block Chevrolet) engines. These pistons feature a .415 dome and are built for high-demand performance applications. They are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines pushed to their limits.

JE Pistons has applied over 75 years of experience to create these forged pistons. They incorporate a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, helping to prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also lead to quieter operation.

These pistons are engineered and machined 100% in the USA, tailored for specific engine and racing applications to offer a strong combination of durability and performance. They are designed for a 4.530 inch bore with a 1.520 inch compression distance and a 0.990 inch wrist pin. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
