JE Pistons BBC .420 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons BBC .420 Dome pistons, designed for a 4.500 inch bore. These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for high-demand performance applications. They are specifically made for BBC (Big Block Chevrolet) engines and are built to offer a strong combination of durability and performance.

JE Pistons has applied over 75 years of experience to create these forged pistons. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating designed to reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also lowering operating noise.
