These JE Pistons BBC .420 Dome pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications. Each piston features a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which reduces skirt width to minimize friction and power loss, while also saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, leading to improved ring seal and consistent power delivery. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for your application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
