JE Pistons BBC .470 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons is known for making well-built forged racing pistons, drawing on over 75 years of experience. They've applied that knowledge to this set of BBC pistons, designed for high-demand performance applications. These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA from 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for serious engine builds.

This set features a .470 dome and is designed for a 4.625 inch bore. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, while also saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

This kit includes 8 pistons, each with a 1.120 inch compression distance and a 0.990 inch wrist pin. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
