JE Pistons BBC .500 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

These JE Pistons BBC pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications. Each piston features a .500-inch dome and is designed specifically for the Big Block Chevrolet engine to optimize both performance and durability. They are engineered with JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and utilizing a shorter wrist pin for additional weight savings.

The design also incorporates an accumulator groove, depending on the specific application, to help reduce pressure from combustion gases. This feature works to reduce ring fluttering and improve ring seal, ensuring consistent power delivery. Additionally, a skirt coating, also application-dependent, is applied to reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation. Every component is forged and machined 100% in the USA, reflecting JE Pistons' extensive experience in creating durable and high-performing forged racing pistons.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.375-inch bore and a 1.395-inch compression distance, and uses a 0.990-inch pin.
