JE Pistons BBC .520 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

If you're rebuilding a big block Chevrolet engine for serious performance, a solid set of pistons is where you start. These JE Pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for the demands of high-performance builds. They're designed specifically for the BBC engine and are made entirely in the USA, reflecting JE Pistons' long history in racing components.

JE Pistons uses a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and more consistent power delivery. Some applications also include a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.500-inch bore and a .520-inch dome volume, totaling 42.0 cc. The wrist pin diameter is 0.990 inches, and the compression distance is 1.395 inches. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
