They are forged and machined entirely in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines pushed to their limits.

This specific set features a .560 dome design and is intended for a 4.350-inch bore. JE Pistons uses a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
