These JE Pistons BBC pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications. Each piston features a .580-inch dome and is designed for a 4.310-inch bore, with a 44.0 cc combustion chamber volume. They are made 100% in the USA, reflecting JE Pistons' extensive experience in crafting performance engine components.

JE Pistons incorporates a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, and further saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also feature a skirt coating designed to reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
