This set of eight BBC pistons is engineered and forged right here in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance applications. These pistons feature JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This means they have a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which helps minimize friction and power loss while also saving weight. Depending on your specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove, which helps manage combustion gas pressure to reduce ring flutter and improve ring seal for consistent power. Some applications also include a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also help quiet down operating noise.

This kit is for a 4.375 inch bore with a 1.245 inch compression distance and a 0.990 inch pin. Keep in mind that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
