JE Pistons BBC .700 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons BBC .700 dome pistons, designed for high-performance big block Chevrolet engines. You get the pistons themselves, ready to be installed in your engine build. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines that demand a lot of performance and durability.

JE Pistons has been making forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and they've put that experience into this set. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons might also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power. Some applications also get a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down the engine's operation. These pistons are made specifically for each engine and use application to offer optimized performance and durability.
