JE Pistons BBC .700 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons BBC .700 Dome pistons, designed for high-performance Big Block Chevrolet engines. You get the pistons themselves, ready to be installed in your build. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines that see demanding use.

JE Pistons has been making forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and they apply that experience to these specific BBC pistons. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and keeping power consistent. Some applications also come with a skirt coating that can reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also lead to quieter operation.

These pistons are designed specifically for the BBC engine and its typical use applications, aiming for an optimal balance of performance and durability. They have a 4.310 inch bore size, a 1.765 inch compression distance, and are set up for a 0.990 inch wrist pin.
